Our mission
Bal Batika School recognises that each child is an individual, that all children are creative, and that all children need to succeed.
From a small pre-school in Pepsicola to a full school and +2 College — growing one grade at a time, with every child at the centre.
Children learn best by doing.
Bal Batika School was founded in 2011 (2068 BS) in Pepsicola Town Planning, Kathmandu-32. It began as a pre-school, opened classes up to Grade 5 in 2016, and has grown year by year to the SEE level and our +2 College.
Today about 735 students learn here with a team of 87 teachers and staff. Our classrooms combine play, exploration, experiments, projects and problem-solving, so that understanding — not memorisation — comes first.
Beyond the classroom, students swim, play basketball and futsal, practise karate and yoga, sing, dance, visit gardens and heritage sites, and lead through the School Election and Investiture Ceremony.

“The talents, skills and abilities of each student need to be identified, nurtured and encouraged — so that every child can reach greater heights.”
Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of an ever-changing global society.
A school must give its students an atmosphere for all-round development, where children are encouraged to channel their potential in the pursuit of excellence. This is only possible in a holistic, student-centred environment.
The talents, skills and abilities of each student need to be identified, nurtured and encouraged so that he or she is able to reach greater heights. Students need a platform to think, express and exhibit their skills.
It is equally necessary to empower them to handle the many issues that confront them, with the teacher being a facilitator. That is why learning at Bal Batika is built on doing — experiments, projects, field visits, sport and performance — and why we celebrate every child who tries, learns and gives their best.
I warmly invite you to visit our campus in Pepsicola and experience the Bal Batika family for yourself.

Growing up in a middle-class family in Dhanusha, Roshan Singh was the bright child his village expected to become a doctor. After studying in Kathmandu and Janakpur, he earned a bachelor’s degree at Amrit Science Campus and a master’s from Tribhuvan University.
Bal Batika School recognises that each child is an individual, that all children are creative, and that all children need to succeed.
To deliver a fun, exciting, child-centred and holistic curriculum that lets every child learn and progress in a safe, challenging and supportive way.
Activity-based learning: hands-on experiences, collaborative projects and real-world applications in place of rote learning — with parents as partners.
Our teachers, coordinators, instructors and support staff bring learning to life every day — in classrooms, on the court, in the pool and on the stage.

Subject and class teachers from Montessori to +2, guiding learning by doing.
Wing and activity coordinators who plan programmes, visits and competitions.
Music, dance, swimming, karate, yoga and sports coaches.
Drivers, helpers, office and support staff who keep every day running safely.
Through the Community–Police Partnership Program, students, educators and law-enforcement representatives work together on awareness, safety and responsibility.
Senior grade students also took part in a Cyber Security Awareness Session with the Community Police, learning about online safety, privacy protection, cyber threats and responsible digital habits.
Every successful child is backed by engaged parents and dedicated educators — and a community that cares.
